Gavin Gehlig

Gavin Gehlig

Chief Executive Officer

I’m passionate about raising the level of professionalism in the industry, smart creative consulting, interpretation of data analytics, and service on all aspects before, during and after the sales cycle.

Gavin Gehlig

Being an independent financial adviser lets me advise clients across a large range of solutions because finding a solution with the right insurer is most important. Very few advisers can advise across the range of solutions; we do. We advise about risk business, investments and retirement business, short-term insurance (both personal lines and commercial lines), employee benefits, healthcare and wellness. In 20 years, I have never not been able to put a solution forward to a client.

It’s crucial to be able to consult with clients either face to face or virtually. This is a big differentiator because not many advisers out there can do that. It’s important to be able to understand clients, to listen and then to co-create innovative solutions.

I understand data and use that extensively with clients. This makes a massive difference across the various age groups I consult to. It’s the ability to interpret and use the data to, in turn, co-create solutions makes us, as a business, stand out.

We must under promise and over deliver. I believe in honesty, integrity, drive, kindness and a high EQ.

I have found that we should always surround ourselves with positive, successful people; then anything is achievable. Something a colleague told me probably 16 years ago has always stuck with me. That was: whatever your task, it is as big as you want to make it, so always push to achieve more than you can imagine because you will surprise yourself with what is possible and the outcome. I refuse to accept average myself and with whoever I work with because average is forgettable.

Over 20 years, I’ve held many roles from financial adviser (tied agent) to independent financial adviser, sales manager, regional manager, Special Projects, and executive head for both retail and institutional investments.

My qualifications are a Diploma in Financial Markets and Instruments, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning, and Certified Financial Planner. I am currently completing an MBA.

I am all about staying healthy by training five to six days per week; I love golf and also enjoy fly fishing. Above all, I love spending time with my beautiful wife and our three fur kids: Higgins, Sage and Rex.
